her "prized possession"
her one and only
her first and only love

she strokes
my tattered blue cover
and says she'll never
another

there are those stains
from those hard nights
but that ballpoint pen
is the one which who she writes

and within my ripped pages
are her secrets
and under her grey pillow
I lay
